About Amy

The voice and creative force behind @DateListLou. Born and raised in Louisville, I have a background in corporate wellness and currently work in tourism, where I get to share my love for this city every day. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Public Health Education from the University of Louisville and spent two years at Marian University in Indianapolis on a cycling scholarship. I’m passionate about experiences that bring people together and showcase the best of Louisville’s culture, food, and energy.

The business-y side of @DateListLou! I’m originally from Elizabethtown, KY, and came to Louisville for college with no intention of staying — until I fell in love with the city and its community. Now, I can’t imagine calling anywhere else home. I hold a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, and a graduate certificate from the University of Louisville. After nine years working with healthcare organizations at an international public accounting and consulting firm, I now work in economic development, helping support growth and opportunity across the city.

Together, we’re on a mission to highlight the culture, places, and experiences that make Louisville such a vibrant place to live, visit, and fall in love with.

  • We first met at a Young Professionals Association of Louisville (YPAL) event in 2021. Our first interaction was brief, and it wasn’t until another two years before we really connected and hit it off. Afterwards, a mutual friend kept encouraging us to get together and the rest is history!

  • Our first post was February 27, 2024. We had only been dating for a little over four months at the time, so it could’ve gone really bad (lol). Luckily, it’s been awesome and brought us closer together! We’ve truly been surprised at how fast the account has taken off in less than two years!

  • We started @DateListLou because we genuinely love getting out of the house and exploring everything Louisville has to offer. We were constantly sharing new restaurants, activities, and experiences on our personal stories — and just as often, friends would message us asking where we were or how to find those places.

    It made us realize that many people in our community, even lifelong Louisvillians, aren’t always aware of just how much this city has to offer. We created @DateListLou to spotlight the culture, places, and experiences that make Louisville such a vibrant place to live and visit — and to help more people discover new reasons to love where they live.

  • No, much of what we share is simply our everyday life and experiences, many of which we were doing long before starting this account. That includes grabbing coffee, trying new restaurants or activities, and sharing our travels and favorite spots around Louisville.

    While we do occasionally create content through paid or comped collaborations, we’re very intentional about the partnerships we choose. Many of the brands we work with are businesses we’ve known, supported, and trusted for years. Our followers always come first, and we only share collaborations that align with our values and that we’ve genuinely enjoyed.
